Bec is a provisional psychologist with a passion for supporting children and adolescents through life’s challenges. Bec strives to create a safe, welcoming space where young people feel understood and empowered to navigate their emotions, relationships, and personal growth. Bec is an advocate for a collaborative approach where relevant, believing it can be essential for building effective, long-lasting coping strategies and fostering resilience.
After completing her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) in Geelong, Bec moved to Melbourne to continue her studies, completing a Master of Professional Psychology at La Trobe University. She is trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and is always eager to expand her skills to best support the people she works with.
Bec has around five years of experience working with children and adolescents across various allied health settings. She has a particular interest in working from a neuroaffirming perspective, supporting neurodivergent young people in a way that respects and values their unique experiences and personal strengths. Bec is experienced in supporting a range of personal concerns, including anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, self-esteem difficulties, school-related stress, social skill development, and navigating life transitions.Above all, she is passionate about helping young people develop confidence, resilience, and a sense of self-acceptance in a way that feels meaningful to them.
