Nicholas Murray, RMT, NMT
Nick is a Registered Music Therapist with the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA) having completed his Masters of Music Therapy at The University of Melbourne. He has extensive experience working closely with children, adolescents, and families across various settings. Nick has advanced training in Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) techniques which recognise the connection between music and brain function.
As a music therapist, Nick utilises research-based practices to support children and families to achieve their goals with client-centred sessions often including song singing, instrument play, music and movement, songwriting, and improvisation.
Music therapy can be used to support regulation, speech and communication, motor skills, social connection, mental well-being, and engagement goals.
Nick is a warm and friendly person and sessions offer clients a fun and supportive environment to explore their own musical creativity while working on self-identified goals.
